Clomiphene must be taken by mouth exactly as directed by your doctor in order to be most effective. It is important to follow your dosing schedule carefully.
Your dosage is based on your medical condition and response to therapy. Do not take it more often or for a longer time than prescribed by your doctor. Long-term treatment with this medication is not recommended and should not be more than 6 cycles…

Clomiphene citrate may be used alone or in combination with other medical therapies. The United States Food and Drug Administration-approved initial dosage is 50 mg daily for 5 days per cycle. The dose may be increased to 100 mg daily (2 50-mg tablets taken together as a single dose) for 5 days per cycle if patients do not ovulate in response to 50 mg daily. The prescribing information recommends starting therapy about 5 days after spontaneous or induced menses or at any time if the patient has had no recent uterine bleeding.17 However, Wu et al18 showed similar ovulatory and pregnancy rates with initiation of clomiphene citrate as early as cycle day 2.

Clomiphene 25mg is used to induce ovulation (egg production) in women who do not produce ova (eggs) but wish to become pregnant (infertility). Clomiphene is in a class of medications called ovulatory stimulants. It works similarly to estrogen, a female hormone that causes eggs to develop in the ovaries and be released.

Clomiphene citrate (CC pill) and/or HCG do not turn off the testosterone manufacturing plant but rather turn it back on or reboot it. While some hypogonadal men require continuous use of clomiphene, for others it can be used for a 3-6 month time period and then discontinued. And, the checks and balances system is not interrupted, so there aren’t the testosterone replacement side-effects which occur due to intentional or unintentional testosterone overdosing. Most interestingly, although it used to be thought that clomiphene and/or HCG only worked on young men, in the past decade or so it has been used effectively in older men too.
